With the Alpbach scholarship programme, young people under 30 can attend this leading interdisciplinary conference and a variety of academic seminars. A basic scholarship covers the participation fee to all events at the European Forum Alpbach. Additional subsidies are available for accommodation and daily allowances.

In 2018, Mr. Emmanuel Asare Owusu, Ph.D. Medical Sociology student won a Robert Bosch scholarship to participate in the Forum. He is one of the few Ghanaian students who has won the scholarship to join other Africans to participate in the Forum which brings thousands of people from around the globe to discuss political, scientific, technological, educational, health and human rights issues affecting the world.

Having participated in the Forum in August 2018, Mr. Owusu was subsequently appointed an ambassador of the Forum Alpbach 2019 for Ghana and the West Africa region covering Gambia, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, etc.

Mr. Owusu is guiding and assisting interested people from the region between 18-34 years to apply and participate in the Forum.  The Forum is a great platform which equips participants with skills and interaction abilities to understand society better and become powerful change agents.
