Ghanaian rapper, Eno Barony has announced plans to include sign language in her music videos.
The self-acclaimed Queen of Kings in Rap, says that the hearing impaired have long been exempted from Ghana’s music, therefore, she feels it is time for them to be recognized.
“Excuse me to say, there are deaf and dumb people and all, so, now I want to introduce sign language in my videos so that if you can’t hear you will see,” she said in an interview with Zylofon FM.
Eno Barony explained that she would feature an interpreter in her video who would sign the lyrics so the hearing impaired can understand.
She says this is a strategy to connect with her variety of audience, bring a new twist to her music career, and be a pacesetter in the music industry.
She also disclosed that the brawl which ensued between herself, Sister Afia and Freda Rhymes brought some ambassadorial deals.
Hence she is hopeful that her sign language tactic would be beneficial.
