University of Ghana is making history today Thursday, July 30, as the first major public university to hold a virtual congregation ceremony for its students.
This morning ceremony is for final undergraduate students of the School of Law and students who took supplementary examinations at the University of Ghana Schools of Medicine and Dentistry.
The University resolved to hold this year’s July congregation virtually following restrictions on social gatherings because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
According an a statement from the University, this virtual congregation will be a good opportunity for the University to test run the idea of a virtual congregation for small groups of graduating students.
The ceremony will premiere at 10 am on all social media platforms of the University.
