The Ghana Health Service has reported that 21 new persons have recovered from the coronavirus disease in the country.
This brings to 155, the total number of recoveries recorded in Ghana.
Persons who contract the virus in the country are considered to have fully recovered when they test negative for the virus twice after undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s case count has shot up to 1,550 with the death toll also increase to 11 after one person succumbed to the disease.
Ghana’s cases are recorded in 12 of its 16 regions with Greater Accra region recording the most cases.
The spike in the number of confirmed cases has been attributed to government’s enhanced contact tracing and testing measures.
