The handball competition of the 26th edition of the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games entered its matchday 7 with some thrilling fixtures as four games were played.
The day started with an intense game between the men of University for Development Studies and the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho.
After the game the UHAS lads could not stand the test of time as they continued with their loosing streak in the competition – losing by a huge margin against UDS, 41-10.
The second game for the day saw the ladies from the University for Development Studies triumph over the University of Cape Coast by 32-22.
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology women also came up against the Miners from the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa and it ended in a defeat for UMaT by 14-6.
The final game for the day came with some huge euphoria for both teams.
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology male team locked horns against the University of Cape Coast.
UCC redeemed their image after the Universities of Education, Winneba held them to a pulsating draw in their previous encounter.
UCC ultimately won 43-19 against the Kumasi boys.
Match Day 12 (Sunday, January 12) will see the University of Ghana face the University of Professional Studies, Accra and the University of Mines and Technology coming up against the University for Development Studies in the men’s division.
For the women, UCC will play against UHAS and UMaT battle it out with UDS.
