Speaking exclusively to UniversNews, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Hostels Limited Dr. Kissi indicated that the hostel management is ready for students to apply for rooms but external factors have delayed the process.

According to him, the portal cannot be opened if these external factors are not considered; so management is hoping that by Friday, all these challenges will be solved.

“Today, infact unfortunately no, that is not to say that we are not ready, we are absolutely ready. We have external partners we work with like the banks and all that. So we are trying to get things ready to make sure that once we take off, there’s no hindrance and we are moving straight. So we are ready but hopefully before the end of the week and the week ends on Friday. We apologize for not being able to start today not because we deliberately did that but we’re just treating all the very important phases,” he said.

Dr. Kissi further stated that information on the date and time for the opening of the portal will be put across the various Pent Junior Common Room (JCR) platforms and will be announced on Radio Univers 105.7FM as well.

“Basically, we will make use of their JCR platform and then definitely we will be at your end to affirm our decisions. So we will use multiple means of reaching out to students” he added.
