A 100-seater capacity sports facility, constructed by the Ghanaian government, is currently at various stages of completion.
The project, sited at the Russia Losso park in Dansoman, when completed is expected to have an official point for coaches and very important officials who will visit the facility progressively, a dressing room and a resting point for players on both sides of the football divide when there is a half time break.
The pitch, with AstroTurf, will become the third of such in Accra following the achievement of this feat by the Accra Academy and Wembley stadium in Kotobabi.
President Akuffo Addo is expected to open the facility for public use on Wednesday evening as part of many facilities he will be opening in the area as he commences his Greater Accra Regional Tour on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, residents of the area have expressed great joy in the wake of this project as some believe that it’s long overdue.
Many have lauded and sang the praises of the MP for the area for facilitating the start and completion of this project. Some have stated that this facility will enhance football talents in the area and also create jobs for the natives of the area.
