They later continued with a 1-1 drawn game to their Japan counterpart in the final group stage game.
The CONCACAF representative had five points as Japan also had five points finishing as the group favorite with 6 goals difference edging past the Mexicans.
Mexico’s quarterfinal stage against the Black Maidens of Ghana is expected to be full of excitement, with the maidens having won all their three games in the group stage matches of the tournament.
The kick off time for the quarter final game between Ghana and Mexico is scheduled for Sunday, November, 24at 7:00pm GMT.
Ghana’s best feat achieved was finishing third in the 2012 world cup in Azerbaijan.
