After defending his TPG National Ranking Tour title, Samuel Antwi believes he is still not the best tennis player in Ghana.
Antwi currently has 7 titles to his name this year; 4 National Ranking Tour titles after Felix Hammond in straight sets in the final of the TPG Tour 5 at the Atomic Tennis Club court in Accra on Saturday.October 2, 2021.
He’s also won the Accra Open Tour 2, Interplast Invitational Top 16, AMTEC Grudge Match Challenge Cup, and King’s Cup in only 2021.
Samuel Antwi despite achieving these feet believes there are still more better players than him in the country.
“I can’t say I am the best tennis player but I can say I am playing my best tennis at this moment and I am hoping to work harder and then improve more because there are more best tennis players on the tour or in Ghana currently. I am not the best, but I am playing my best tennis so far”. He told UniversSports.
The Atomic Tennis Club added that he did not face an easy opponent in defending his TPG title.
He explained that all his opponents were strong obstacles for him and did not find it easy during the tournament.
“I would say all of them because they all have head to head records against me, they have all beaten me before, so going into that tournament I was going to face people I knew can defeat me in the tournament”
The Atomic Club player won his fourth National Ranking Tour title of the year after beating Felix Hammond in straights 6-2, 6-3 in the final at the Atomic Club Court on Saturday.
