Cordoba striker Kwabena Owusu climbed off the bench to score twice as Ghana’s Black Meteors beat Mali 2-0 in the their final group game at the Ongoing U-23 Afcon in Egypt.
Ghana were lacklustre in the first half and were terrible in their man marking, allowing the counterparts from Mali to pass the ball freely.
Ibrahim Kone’s header missed the Ghanaian goal narrowly before the staunch striker saw his left-footed thunderbolt stike parried away by Ghanaian goalie Kwame Baah.
Ghana came back from the recess more motivated and looked quite purposeful in the final third.

Ghana progress to the semi-final after Cameroon lost to Egypt in the other group A game.
The Black Meteors will have to be amongst the best three to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
