The University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS) is expected to organize the 7th White Coat ceremony for the joint class of First Clinical and Dentistry students.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Charles Easmon Building on the Korle-Bu campus.
At the event, students will be ushered into the clinical part of the medicine and dentistry programmes.
Chairman of the Medical and Dental Council, Prof. Paul K. Nyame, will be the Guest Speaker.
Other dignitaries to grace the ceremony include the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. P.F. Ayeh-Kumi, the Dean of UGMS, Prof. Margaret Lartey, the Dean of UGDS, Prof. Ebenezer Nyako, among others.
The White Coat Ceremony (WCC) is relatively a ritual in some medical, dental and other health training schools that marks the student’s transition from the study of preclinical sciences to clinical health sciences.
