“This morning luckily I met with the Minister in Charge of Tertiary Education and he drummed something into my ears and that something is that we need to start looking at residential facilities. How best can we work on it?  The land is available. In three years, our admissions numbers are going to double. This year we admitted eleven thousand, we are expecting that next year and next two years we are expected to admit not less than twenty thousand students……” he said.

Professor Oduro-Owusu further hinted that the move would be a beneficial investment for the credit union.

“So if only 2,800 students were accommodated this year out of 7400, what it means roughly is that we need a minimum of ten thousand more beds. I entreat you to think about it so we do a good investment.” He said.

University of Ghana Co-operative Credit Union Ltd inaugurated its new building on Thursday, 28th September 2018.
