University of Ghana has announced that the construction of its Okponglo security gate will be completed in September 2020.
A communique from the Director of Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD) highlighted that resumption of works on the project mentioned that the works is expected to be completed on 10th September 2020.
“Members of the University community are hereby informed that works have resumed for the completion of the Okponglo security gate. The project is expected to be completed on 10th September, 2020,” the statement read.
Members of the University community have also been cautioned to take note of precautionary notices when using the Academic Freedom road at Okponglo.
“In view of this, members of the community are encouraged to look out for safety precaution notices when using the Academic Freedom road at Okponglo.” the statement concluded.
The construction of the University’s Okponglo gate started about five years ago to aid members of the University community gain access to campus aside using the main entrance.
The Okponglo entrance is the only unrestricted access to the University campus.
