Management of the University of Ghana has announced plans to hold an online congregation ceremony for its students at the university’s School of Law and the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
The ceremony is scheduled for July 30, 2021.
The University has not given out reasons for this decision but since the outbreak of the coronavirus disease, school authorities have taken several decisions, including holding academic activities online, to reduce the risk of the virus spreading among members of the university community.
This year’s virtual congregation ceremony is expected to be premiered on the university’s social media platforms including Youtube.
Last year, the University of Ghana made history after becoming the first tertiary institution to hold a congregation ceremony online.
