Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has limited attendance to this year’s congregation to PhD graduating students and selected best graduating first-class students from each Faculty of School.
These students would be given credentials to log on to a special portal on the University’s website to print their invitation cards which will be used as identification for the collection of their academic gowns at the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.
All other students are to participate in the ceremony virtually.
This was indicated in a notice from the university announcing Thursday 10th and Friday 11th September 2020 as dates for its 25th Congregation.
The University has informed graduands who wish to be presented have been asked to log on to the university’s website and provide the details required for registration.
“Presentation at the virtual graduation will be in the form of graduands’ profile pictures being featured with details on the official UEW Graduation Video which will be streamed live on the University’s website and other official social media platforms due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“Graduands are supposed to upload a portrait photograph of themselves that meets specified requirements given by the University as part of the registration process. The photograph will be used as their profile picture for the UEW Virtual Congregation Video.”
The closing date for registration is Tuesday, 8th September 2020 and only those who have registered will be presented.
