President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says that the Africa continent needs a transformation of its policies if it wants to be successful in attaining development and liberation.
He explained that with changes in policies, African countries would hasten the development process and make it at par with developed countries.
“Be that as it may, our generation has an opportunity to re-dedicate ourselves towards attaining the twinkles guaranteeing the liberties and freedoms of the African continent and eradicating mass poverty in Africa” he said.
The President explained that the transformation of the policies will involve significant investment in education as well as adding value to the raw materials produced in African countries among others
“The process of re-dedication involves several things. It involves policy for significant investment in education.
It involves policies for the structural transformation of African raw materials producing and exporting economy into industrial value adding economy that trades in products in the global markets. It involves policies that will draw a clear line in political and economic integration of the continent to enable us maximize potentials and deal with the outside world on an equal scale.” he added.
Speaking at the All African People’s Conference on Saturday, 8th December, 2018 at the University of Ghana, President Nana Addo stressed that the continent can achieve development if all Africans work together.
“I am confident we can achieve this which our fathers and fire fathers fought for and which some paid the ultimate sacrifice if we work together. We can do it..” he stated.
