The running mate of John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming Presidential elections, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has expressed concern over the surge in coronavirus cases in schools.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang took to twitter on Wednesday July 8, 2020 to sympathize with parents, children and staff and further advised them to observe all the COVID-19 prevention measures to stop the spread of the disease.

Schools with COVID-19 records
Accra Girls Senior High School
Six girls at the Accra Girls Senior High School have tested positive for the coronavirus disease. These students have been sent to the Ga West Municipal Hospital for treatment as of July 4, 2020.
Parents however quickly rushed to the school for their wards upon hearing this news.
A total of 684 contacts who got close to these students who tested positive for COVID-19 at the Accra Girls Senior High School have been identified by health officials.
Wesley Senior High School
One student has also tested positive for COVID-19 at the Wesley Senior High School at Konongo in the Ashanti Region as of July 6, 2020.
There has however been no records of the coronavirus disease in any Junior High School.
Currently, no student has died of the coronavirus disease.
