Ace Ghanaian football administrator, Mr Jonathan Abbey Pobbey has thrown shots at the Normalisation Committee, insisting that they know not their mandate.
He said this while expressing his discontent with the decision of the normalisation committee to introduce a competition to restore normalcy in football in the country.
Speaking to Univers Sports on the Sports Express show hosted by Kwesi Live, Mr. Abbey Pobee indicated that the association is not paying heed to the mandate given to them by the Federation of International Football Association.
“They are not following the mandate given to them by FIFA, they were tasked to restore normalcy in football but not considering organising these friendly matches. They were appointed with the rules of FIFA so they are working under FIFA and our regulations have not been dissolve so they should read article 8 of our regulations which talks about competitions and in there you are to play the premier league, first division league and colts football so I don’t agree with the idea of organising this competition, its wrong”
He further added that the association should have started with reforms to resolve certain abnormalities in the game.
“They should have tackled the issues in relation to officiating to train more referees but that has not been done. They should have done reforms on paper within two month to restore transparency in the game, article 73 public interest committee in our status was not working for thirteen years and they have not resolved all these so how then do we start with a competition.
I don’t think the committee understand the mandate given to them”
