Management of National Service Scheme has announced that it has paid its personnel their allowances due them for the months of September and October this year.
In a statement issued by its Corporate Affairs Directorate, National Service Personnel were asked to access their allowances via e-zwich at their preferred banks across the country.
“All national service personnel who have filled, endorsed and duly submitted their assessment forms for the months of September and October at the various NSS District Offices can access their allowances via E-Zwich at their preferred banks across the country,” part of the statement reads.
“Nonetheless, personnel who are yet to submit their monthly assessment forms for the months under review are advised to do so accordingly to avert any possible payment delays,” the statement adds.
Management of the Scheme, after expressing gratitude to personnel for being patient when their stipend delayed, assured that “monthly allowances will be paid promptly.
Meanwhile, some personnel have told UniversNews that they are yet to receive their monies for the two aforementioned months.
“The National Service Secretariat says that they have paid allowances for September and October but it has not reflected in my account. Some of my colleagues have confirmed payment and even withdrawn their money but mine hasn’t come. Maybe some of us will receive ours on Monday,” Daniel, a personnel doing his service at the University of Ghana told UniversNews.
