Flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has congratulated Nana Akufo-Addo, who, according to him, has been reelected as President of the country.
This was disclosed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin.
It comes even though the Electoral Commission has not declared Akufo-Addo the winner of the December 7 presidential election.
“Flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews, aka “Osofo Kyiri Abosom,” has just called President Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on his victory in the election,” Eugene Arhin posted on Facebook.
Earlier, Dr. Henry Lartey, who is also in the presidential race on the ticket of the Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP), conceded defeat.
He also congratulated Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he said was his winning the 2020 Presidential elections.
According to Dr. Lartey, electoral figures available to him indicated that Akufo-Addo has been successful in his bid to govern the country over the next four years.
“You fought a good fight and won a battle you deserve so I congratulate you for your victory and offer you all my support,” he told Graphic Online’s George Ernest Asare.
