Sportsmen in the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana are lamenting over the delay in their annual semester incentives.
According to them, for reasons yet to made explained to them, they are yet to get their incentives from the Procurement Unit of the Physical Development & Municipal Services (PDMSD) of the University.
They claim that they are the only hall of the University yet to receive from PDMSD.
They have also planned to picket at the Physical Development & Municipal Services to mount pressure on authorities to release their incentives.
Sports Secretary for the Hall, Ben Abu Adams, spoke to UniversNews and he vows not to relent in pilling pressure on authorities.
“We are registering our disgust at PDMSD for delaying our sportsmen their incentives. For almost two week, simple procurement of incentives such as milo and soap for our hardworking people who sacrifice their time for the hall and the University has been delayed and we don’t understand why.
The hall has enlisted their names and given them to PDMSD but we only hear excuses from them. We plan picketing at their premises on Monday for answers,” Ben Abu Adams told UniversNews
Sportsmen of the all male hall dominated the inter-hall sports competition and have to their credit 12 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in 17 competitions this academic year.
