The University of Ghana SRC led by Esinam Seade has embarked on a new project aimed at improving health care delivery for students at the University of Ghana.
The project was launched on Wednesday [April 20, 2017] at the SRC Union building.
The project is geared towards ensuring that healthcare needs of students are addressed properly each time a student visits the University of Ghana student clinic or the Legon Hospital.
The Project reimburses students who out of their own pockets buy medicine which was suppose to be provided by the Legon Hospital per the prescriptions of a medical doctor from the University hospital.
The SRC is in partnership deal with Solutions pharmacy located at Okponglo and atomic, however plans are far advanced with other pharmaceutical companies to create variations and make the project more accessible to students.
To successfully receive the reimbursements from the SRC, students are to take along the referral card and a photo copy of it for approval at the security post inside the SRC Union building and can then proceed for the free drugs from which ever listed partner pharmacies.
