The second semester for the first cohort of students participating in the University of Ghana modular system begins today Thursday, June 17, 2021.
The students, comprising of Level 100s and 400s are expected to report from Thursday to Sunday, June 20, 2021, for academic activities to begin from Monday, June 21, 2021.
First years, will from this semester, have more face-to-face academic activities as compared to the previous semester, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo disclosed on a campus tour to assess the WIFI stability on campus.
According to her, management of the university made this decision, in order for level 100 students to acquaint themselves with their colleagues.

All levels of Pharmacy students are also expected to report to school for a 13-week long semester from today.
This semester will however be the last for Level 400 students in the University of Ghana.
‘Modular system likely to be cancelled next academic year’ – SRC Academic Affairs C’ttee Head
The Acting Head of the University of Ghana SRC Academic Affairs Committee, Abdul Salaam Mohammed, has hinted at a possible phasing out of the modular system in the next academic year.
He says that the SRC has been in close engagement with university authorities to discuss some of the challenges and difficulties students have encountered since the introduction of the modular system.
Speaking at the UG SRC forum held on Tuesday, June 1, at the SRC Union Building, Abdul Mohammed said he was confident that university authorities will agree to the cancellation of the system.
