Management of the University of Ghana is said to make preparations to accommodate final year students to enable them to continue with their academic work.
Speaking to UniversNews, the Head of halls at the University of Ghana, Dr. Charles Wiafe-Akenten mentioned that these provisions will be made after level 200 and 300 students, who will resume their academic work for the first semester from April 1, 2021, get access to the various halls.
“Now the semester for L100s and 400s is over, it is the turn of 200s and 300s, so let’s give them the opportunity, meaning those who were residents will still remain there unless individuals who opt-out and the rest of the bed will be online for 200s and 300s who are nonresidents and will want to become residents will tap into it. if at the end of the deadline of the registration that is the hall of residence then definitely that one 400’s students who want to stay to work on their project could be considered”. He told UniversNews.
Dr. Wiafe-Akenten urged final year students who wish to stay to get approval from their various Heads of Departments to enable them to get access to the rooms available.
“Level 400’s students who are doing projects with a confirmation letter from their respective supervisors or preferably HoD which will allow them two weeks maximum to stay” He added.
