As level 200 and 300 students of the University of Ghana are getting ready to resume for their second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, the Jean Nelson Aka Hall has announced some requirements residents must need in order to complete their manual registration.
A statement signed by the Junior Common Room (JCR) President of the Hall, Reuben Yankey on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, indicated that before students can successfully complete their manual registration, they must have a copy of their residential proof of registration, a copy of their academic proof of registration, two passport-sized pictures, JCR dues receipt, and receipts for fuel level for only new residents.
Residents were advised to send their proof of registration and receipts to the JCR office in the hall (room 3020) to be signed and stamped, proceed to room 2018 with the signed document for a chit, and then send the chit and passport pictures to the porters lodge to sign in and claim their keys to their various rooms.
The statement added that failure to comply with these directives may result in the revocation of the residency of culprits.
Meanwhile, the University is preparing to receive its students who are in the second and third years of their undergraduate programme.
The portal for academic registration has already been opened and they are expected to report on campus between Thursday, September 16, 2021, and Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Ahead of their return, a disinfection exercise has been planned by university authorities to ensure that these students return to a safe environment despite the rise in COVID infections.
