President of University of Ghana’s Student Representative Council, Mr. Sylvester Amoako, has threatened to take legal action against 2014/2015 SRC President Joshua Dogbe to provide documents on the purchase of some power generators for students of the University of Ghana.
According to Sylvester Amoako, the move has become necessary following the school’s management failure to furnish the Council with documents relating to the procurement of generators for various halls of residence on campus.
Per information available to UniversNews, the Joshua-Dogboe led administration procured some generators with funds from students for all traditional halls of residents to be used when there is a power cut.
However students of the University of Ghana, contrary to the objective behind the acquisition of the generators, continue to wallow in darkness when there is a break in power.
Speaking in Campus Exclusive earlier today, Sylvester Amoako said all attempts to get the appropriate documentation with regards to the procurement of the generators as well as plans for fuelling them to function have proven futile.
Mr. Amoako maintained that the SRC will be left with no option than to get Joshua Dogboe furnish the Council with all necessary documents through a court of competent jurisdiction since management has failed to help.
