The management of Fumbisi Senior High /Agric School in the Upper East Region has urged all students to go to their respectable homes till further notice due to reports of a ghostly figure lurking on the premises of the school between Sunday and Monday.
As a result of the ghost scare, some students went on the rampage over the mysterious mass fainting of their fellow students, a situation which compelled the school authorities to shut down the place.
According to the District Police Commander for Builsa South Constituency, Superintendent Samuel Ntoso, he said that;
“A strange object which looks like a human being appeared where the children were studying so they became frightened and started running for their dear lives so one of the third year General Art student with the name Salomey Akambo she happened to jump from the second floor and landed on the ground. So she got injured and was rushed to Sandema Government hospital. Some of the students went to the housemistress bungalow and threw stones to damage some of her properties so the Headmaster in consultation took a decision that in other not to sit down for anything bad to happen they should close the school down until further notice”.
The situation has resulted in the collapsing of about twenty (20) students of which three of them collapsed on Sunday night and the other seventeen (17) collapsed on Monday. The collapsed students were hospitalized at Fumbisi Clinic and the Sandema Government Hospital but sixteen (16) of them have been discharged leaving the other four (4) still under treatment.
