Unconfirmed reports from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology indicates that some male residents of the University Hall have been brutalized by the school’s security.
The incident is said to have happened on Friday night when when the school’s security scuttled a peaceful vigil at the forecourt of the University Hall, otherwise known as Katanga Hall.
UniversNews understands that currently, one of the victims is at the Tech Hospital in Kumasi, battling for his life with some 8 others in police custody.
According to reports, the school’s security pounced on unarmed students who were having a peaceful vigil at the forecourt of the hall in protest of management’s freeze on “morale”, a usual Friday night jamboree in all the halls at the school.
Similarly, in September this year, there were reports that the school’s security had brutalized some students for disturbing public peace.
