AMG Music signee and rap sensation, Medikal, known in real life as Samuel Adu Frimpong, has stated that he knew he would win big after being nominated seven times at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs).
The 25 year old rapper who failed to pick up a single award out of the seven nominations he had at the recently held event has stated on Delay Show that he expected to win massively during the program that happened at The Accra International Conference Centre.
In response to a question posed by Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay), he said, “Frankly, my expectation was to win big. I didn’t know the number of awards I was going to win but I knew I would win big”.
On whether he was certain on his thought or not, he said
“I expect anything (positive or negative) in life so I wasn’t so certain but I only knew I would win something but then I wasn’t so hurt after losing out”.
The ‘Confirm’ hit maker further revealed his plans of getting married very soon to the love of his life, Deborah Vanessa, known in showbiz as Sister Derby. He said, “three or four years from now is too long. Anything can happen but it will be very soon”.
The rapper is currently working on his first studio album titled ‘Disturbation’ which includes hits such as Confirm, Too Risky, By heart boy, Anthem and many more.
