Matchday 7 of the 26th edition of the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games, witnessed a terrific test of character as the men’s volleyball team of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, staged a comeback to clinch victory over KNUST in a game of fine margins.
UPSA started the game well but were unfortunate to lose the first two sets in succession with score lines of 25-21 and 25-19 respectively.
At this point, KNUST looked like the likely victors and effected some substitutions benching some first stringers.
This proved to be a bad call as UPSA came back stronger and won the next two sets 21-25 and 22-25 to tie the game at 2 all.
The last set was a battle of wits as each team played their very best in a game that might be a contender for game of the tournament so far.
In the end UPSA emerged victorious in a pulsating encounter, as they made the last set theirs with a 13-15 score.
The game ended 2:3 in favour of UPSA.
