Abel Manony produced five stunning goals to ensure that University of Education, Winneba went past GIJ in their last game of this year’s GUSA campaign.
The five goals means that he is at par with Foster Ajago from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Cape Coast’s Lucas Tatul in the race for the golden boot in the GUSA soccer competition.
Abel Manony who is still the highest scorer in the history of the competition now racks up from 34 to 39 after his brilliance against GIJ on Friday morning.
UEW’s win moves them to the top of the table with University of Cape Coast and University of Ghana all having two matches more to play before the end of the competition.
