Coach for Ridge City Women’s Club Louis Ano-Ampofo says his side are not complacent about their performance so far this season and will take it game after game in the 2020/2021 season.
Despite making their debut in the women’s division, Ridge City are second on the league table behind Army Ladies with 15 points and 17 goal difference after six games.
Ridge City ended their first-round with five wins and a loss out of the six games.
“Before the season went on break for the first half we were building momentum and we just want to take it game after game, trying to focus on giving our all and doing so well in each game as a group. We don’t want to look way beyond, we just want to do the best we can and see what will happen.” He told Univers Sports.
Coach Ano-Ampofo is also hopeful his team will keep more clean sheets in the second round to keep them in the title race.
“Statistically, we have won 5 out 6 games and that shows how well we have improved as a team but I’m so particular about the clean sheets we have kept as well. it’s been good for us and I hope we keep doing that.”
Ridge City will be counting on their top scorer Cecelia Nyama (15) to keep her scoring boots on as they begin the second round.
