The second (2nd) session of University of Ghana’s virtual inter-hall games has commenced and is scheduled to end on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
In a bid to engage students of the university amidst the ban on sporting activities in schools, the University of Ghana Sports Directorate devised plans to hold virtual inter-hall games.
The disciplines for the 2nd session are Goalball, Netball, Badminton, Tennis, and Table Tennis.
The twitter voting session commenced yesterday, April 26, 2021 with the inter-hall goalball tourney at 9am.
After the polls, Valco hostel, James Topp Nelson, Legon hall, Jean Nelson Ackah, Mensah Sarbah, Commonwealth/volta, and Alexander Adum Kwapong halls made it pass the Round of 16 stages.
Here are results from the round of 16 polls:
JISH garnered 43% out of 14 votes against James Topp Nelson’s 57%
Out of 13 votes, Elizabeth Sey had 31% and Alexander Kwapong hall has 69%
Jean Nelson hall pulled 71% out of 28 votes agaisnt Akuaffo hall
African Union hall (19%) vs Commonwealth/volta hall(81%) out of 16 votes
Distance Education gathered 52% of 21 total votes as against United Nations’s 48%
Dr Hilla Liman hall lost with 48% to Mensah Sarbah who won 52% out of 23 votes.
