UG: Commonwealth Hall wins Inter-Hall cricket competition

The Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana yesterday triumphed over arch-rivals Mensah Sarbah hall to clinch the 2018/2019 Inter-hall Cricket competition organized by the University of Ghana Sports Directorate.

The Vandals outclassed Mensah Sarbah hall who were the favorite to win the competition after they had won it on three occasions in the last five years.

The Vikings came into the game with great expectation especially being the defending champions and kicked off on a very good note but lost balance as they ended up losing points to their opponent.

The Commonwealth hall team later dominated the game as efforts by the Mensah Sarbah Hall team to get back in the game yielded little results.

At the end of the game, the Vandals amassed 112points as against the Vikings’ 97.

Being Champions of the Cricket competition, the Commonwealth Hall can boast of a great season as they already have in their gallery their trophy in Athletics, Handball and Volleyball.
