The Fa Cup is back with a bang and here are Sir Kay’s FA Cup Predictions for the 3rd round fixtures.
Tranmere vs Tottenham (Friday night 7:45pm)
Pochettino has stated that he will field a strong side though he will make some changes against Tranmere. It’s going to be a tough week for Tottenham as they will be facing Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals first leg on Tuesday before taking on Man Utd during next weekend.
I tip Tottenham to struggle a bit in the first half but I believe they will have more than enough to get this one over the line.
Sir Kay Predicts: Tranmere 1-3 Tottenham
Bournemouth vs Brighton (Saturday 12:30)
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe will be hoping at last has side can keep a clean sheet after they going 5 games and just keeping one.
The Seagulls on the other hand will be hoping for another long run in the competition as they got to the semi-final last season before being kicked out beyond Man Utd.
I’ll go for a Bournemouth win here as they can really cause trouble when they are on the offensive.
Sir Kay Predicts: Bournemouth 2:1 Brighton
Man Utd vs Reading (Saturday 12:30pm)
Ole Gunner Solskjaer will definitely love his side’s reaction since taking over as Caretaker Manager. He will be looking to ring the changes in this game as they have given him everything and deserve a rest.
He will definitely be starting RomeluLukaku and Alexis Sanchez as they need some game time to pick up match rhythm. John O’shea will be playing against his old side and would be looking forward to stopping United’s unbeaten run in the last four. I believe Man Utd will win here as Reading wouldn’t be able to cause this attacking side a lot of problems.
Sir Kay Predicts: (Man Utd 3-0 Reading)
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest (Saturday 3pm)
Chelsea will be looking to finish their opponents off early in the first half since they will have an eye on Tuesday’s game against Spurs. I fancy Chelsea winning here since Forest have won just one, losing 3 and drawing 2 out of their last 6 games.
Sir Kay Predicts: (Chelsea 3-0 N. Forest)
Everton vs Lincoln (Saturday 3pm)
Marcos Silva’s job could definitely be on the line should Everton lose again at the Goodison park. They have been disappointing over the festive period as they have lost 4 in their last 5 games. Lincoln would be no pushover as they as they beat Brighton and Burnley at Turf Moor two years ago to qualify to the Quarter-final stage only to be defeated by Arsenal. I fancy Everton winning here but they will need to be at their very best.
Sir Kay Predicts: (Everton 3-1 Lincoln )
Man City vs Rotterdam (Sunday 2pm)
This should be a straight forward win for City after how they played against Liverpool in midweek. Pep will make a lot of changes here as he will Wednesday’sCarabao cup semi-final In mind. Rotterdam will dread going behind in the first 10 minutes or else they will be ripped apart in this one.
Sir Kay Predicts (Man City 4-0 Rotterdam)
