Ole Gunner Solskjaer has become the first Manchester United manager to win his first 6 league games drawing level with Carlo Ancelotti & Pep Guardiola in Premier League history.
The Red Devils cruised to victory on a wet afternoon at Old Trafford as goals from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford earned them all 3 points against Brighton.
United totally dominated the game from the onset and should have taken the lead inside the first 10 minutes but Pogba and Lindelof couldn’t make the most of their chances.
However they soon found themselves ahead in the 27th minute as Pogba was fouled in the penalty box after he was sandwiched by Bong and March which gave referee Paul Tierney no other choice than to point to the spot.
Pogba made no mistake from the spot as he fired a fierce shot into the top right corner after his trademark stuttering run.
Ole’s boys were at it again in the 42nd minute as Marcus Rashford curled home a beauty after evading his marker with two deft touches.
Brighton pulled one back after the break in the 72nd minute through Pascal Gross as he nicked the ball home after a lovely ball from the outside of Propper’s boot.
It was a little too late as Brighton couldn’t mount up a late challenge to salvage a point.
The win puts United in 5th for the time being as they go 3 points above Arsenal with the Gunners having a game in hand against Chelsea later this evening.
