Victor Lindelof’s injury time goal ensured that Manchester United rescued a point against a stubborn Burnley in what was a game of the season contender.
The In-form Red devils began in high spirit restricting the Clarets for the greater part of the half.
Rashford almost opened the scoring when he picked up a Lukaku through ball but he shot agonizingly wide from close range.
United struck the wood work after Mata saw his diagonal shot tipped by Heaton before a bouncing shot from Lukaku was also parried by the hardworking clarets shot stopper.
Paul Pogba had his goal disallowed by an offside decision as United finished the half in frustration. United hunted down their their opponents even more after the recess with Mata, Pogba and Rashford having unsuccessful attempts at goal.
Burnley looked more daring in attack and almost opened the scoring from a Goal keeping mistake from De Gea, but Barnes slipped before he could pounce on the ball.
Shortly after De Gea, a sloppy mistake from Pierrera saw Aaron Barnes open the scoring for Burnley after Jack cork seized the ball from Perreira before slicing it into space ahead of Barnes who made no mistake with his powerful shot into goal.
Things moved from bad to worse for United who could have conceded another but for De Gea who parried a powerful long range shot from McNeil.
Burnley got a second from a Chris Wood header after Lindelof confusingly interrupted the offside trap.
But with minutes to end proceedings, drama unfolded as Lingard was tucked by Hendrick who lost track of his man only for Paul Pogba to cut the deficit to one.
Deep into injury time, Manchester United underlined their credentials as ignited the comeback spirit as Victor Lindelof pounced on a rebound moments after Heaton had denied Alexis Sanchez from a shot.
The win keeps United 2 points within reach from Chelsea who play tomorrow and puts them at level pegging with fifth placed Arsenal on 47 points.
This also means that Coach Olegunnar Solskajer has not lost a game since taking over as Interim manager at Manchester United.
