Christiano Ronaldo’s 87th minute penalty completed a superb comeback at the Studio Olimpico, as Juventus came behind to snatch all three points from Lazio in a game that was dominated by the hosts.
Luis Alberto almost put the hosts ahead after an ambitious run, before squeezing in a low drive that tumbled past the left bottom corner narrowly.
The Blancocelesti continued to dominate the game in the early exchanges but lacked sharpness in the final third. Ciro Immobile tormented the Juventus defence and could have put Lazio ahead in the second half, when he came one-on-one with Goalkeeper Scezeny but mistimed his finesse shot.
Few moments later Luis Alberto’s corner was hit in by Emre Can after his attempted clearance went wrong.
The Bianconieri reacted well and got the equalizer with 16 minutes to end proceedings.
Bernadeschi expertly dispatched Wallace before slicing a cross to the way of Dybala only for his fierce shot to be saved, but super sub Cancelo was at the right place to slot in the rebound.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men had the last bite in the 87th minute when they broke loose on the counter attack, as Bernadeschi tried to pick Cancelo with an early gorgeous ball from the left but the latter was impeded by Kazoo centre back Radu.
Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot kick with a thunderbolt right-top cornered shot that had too much altitude and power to beat Lazio goalie.
The loss meant that Lazio have not won against sides in the top 6 this season while the Old Lady stretch their lead at the top of the Series A to commanding 11 points points clear.
