Former Ghana Football Association Vice President, Frederick Pappoe, says it is premature and too early to cancel the Ghana Premier League.
Fred Pappoe, who contested for the recently held elections for the GFA Presidency, noted that the measures being put in place to combat the pandemic are yielding dividends and proving successful, hence the GFA should exercise restraint and allow this current situation to die so that the League can resume than cancelling it totally.
The Accra Great Olympics Director, however called on Ghanaians to support and adhere to the directives outlined by the government to prevent further spread of the virus.
According to him, when Ghanaians comply with the prevention measures given by the Ministry of Health, the pandemic would end soon for the League to resume.
Fred Pappoe worked under the Nyantakyi administration from 2006-2015.
