Five (5) premier league clubs including Asante Kotoko are set to use the Accra Sports Stadium as their home grounds in the upcoming season.
The Porcupine Warriors’ Baba Yara Stadium is closed as renovation works are ongoing.
They will share the venue with rivals Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities FC, Inter Allies and Great Olympics
“You have to make application to us and we approve. Only five have been approved; Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies, Legon Cities and Great Olympics will use it mostly in the evening,” Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi disclosed.
He added “that no club will added to the teams because the stadium will host other international fixtures.”
The Club Licensing Board shall be embarking on an inspection tour of the venues from Tuesday, October 6, to Friday, October 23, 2020, to validate that all necessary satisfactory requirements are met and approved for the season.
The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League will start on November 13.
