Former Managing Director for Accra Hearts of Oak, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has encouraged the government to invest in sports and give more support to corporate bodies interested in promoting the discipline.
According to the sports enthusiast, the discipline has the potential of creating more employment opportunities for the youth as well as generate more revenue for the country’s economy, hence the need to prioritize it.
Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe added that most corporate bodies are poised to aid in promoting the discipline but are reluctant due to the inability of a good framework from top government officials.
“Sport has the potential to create employment for young unemployed people walking on the street searching for jobs which do not exist, let encourage the sports entrepreneurs to get into the business to help create a huge revenue base for the country,” he told UniversSports
He further called for “an enabling environment for the kids interested in sports and formulate good policies for them”
