Two members of Ghana’s 4x100m team that booked the country a place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been verified on Twitter.
The two are Joseph Amoah and former University of Ghana student, Benjamin Azamati.
Their verification on the social media network comes barely a week after doing their country proud at the Silesia 2021 World Athletics Relays.
In that competition, the Ghana team, made up of Benjamin Azamati, Sean Safo, Oduro Manu, and Joseph Amoah, finished at a time of 38.79 same time as first placed Netherlands, who won by 8000th of a second.
Although they were disqualified from the final of the Silesia 2021 World Athletics Relays, their performance in the heat earned the country a place in the Olympics.
