President of the Ghana Chess Association, Philip Ameku, says that plans are underway to organize a competition for persons with disabilities.
In a media interaction, Philip Ameku indicated that Association was affiliated to the World Chess Federation which encourages the involvement with persons with disabilities in sports.
He says that the tournament for PWDs will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 29, 2020.
“We are direct affiliate with the World Chess Federation which encourages physically challenged persons to participate in sports. The National Tourney for the Physically Challenged will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 29,2020.”
