Aspiring Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, George Afriyie, has disclosed that he has the needed endorsement to contest in the forthcoming GFA presidential election.
According to the former GFA Vice-President, 10 out of the 16 Premier Division Clubs have endorsed his forms to vie for the top GFA job.
He further added that additional two clubs have also assured to endorse his candidature but that will be undisclosed for now and these clubs are not just endorsing but have also affirmed with an affidavit of support to him.
“I have gotten the needed endorsement to contest for the position of GFA. As I stand here officially, 10 of the 16 premier division clubs have assured me that I should run for the election because I have their support. It is not just by mouth but they have also affirmed their support with affidavits”
He also pointed out that 20 of of the 48 Division One clubs have appended their signature to support him with fifteen confirmed already and 5 undisclosed.
“20 out of the 48 Division One clubs have also decided to support me with 15 of them coming out already and 5 made to be undisclosed”
The Ghana Football Association Election is scheduled for October 25, 2019.
