Former Hearts of Oak board chairman, Harry Zakor has offered to join the Phobians current board for free, in his bit to provide some direction to help to deal with the recent problems.
Massive resignations alongside poor performances on the pitch have made the current board unpopular among the fans.
The ‘Champion Chairman’ as he is called in the Phobia fraternity is worried about the club’s direction.
“When I see what is happening there, the supporters can’t even meet the management for a discussion with them. You don’t run a club one-man show. Since I left the club, nobody has appointed me as even a director,” he told Joysports.
Zakor who restored the club’s greatest achievement, winning the CAF Champions league in 2000 and a creditor of Two Hundred Thousand US dollars since 2002 is willing to help.
“Hearts it’s even owing me money. They are owing me about $200,000. They should float the money, I don’t want the money, I just want Hearts of Oak to be doing well.
Why not? Hearts of Oak is my girlfriend, so I’m prepared to go and join them.”
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak began their life, after former coach, Kosta Papic with a winning note after a 3-2 win over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, ending their four-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.
