Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars will begin camping in Accra, at the Tang Palace Hotel, ahead of an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019 qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
The game, which would be played on Saturday, March 23, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 18:00 GMT, would be the final Group F match for the tournament to be hosted in Egypt in June.
Kwesi Appiah, head coach of the Black Stars has named a 24-man squad to prepare for the match.
With both teams already qualified to the AFCON, both sets of teams are likely to parade new players on the pitch, as both coaches would look ahead to try new legs.
The Black Stars called up five debutants and three local players all from Kotoko, who participated in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup.
The likes of Deputy skipper Dede Ayew, Kwadjo Asamoah, John Boye, and Kwasi Appiah are among the notable names who have been recalled back into the team.
Players are expected to arrive in the camping base at the Tang Palace Hotel from Monday evening and would begin training at the Accra Sports Stadium from Tuesday afternoon.
