Kumasi-based club, Asante Kotoko has terminated its kits supply sponsorship and purchase deal with Club Consult Africa.
The three-year sponsorship deal with Strike, a kit manufacturing company owned by Club Consult Africa, was worth GHS 50,000, coupled with extra bonuses in revenue generated from the sales of replica jerseys.
“Asante Kotoko wishes to inform our stakeholders and the general public that the kits supply sponsorship and purchase agreement signed with Club Consult Africa has been terminated with immediate effect,” a release dated October 7, 2020 revealed.
The club has assured its “stakeholders that a new befitting kits sponsor will not only be announced shortly but our fans will be given the opportunity to select their preferred design for the 2020/21 football season.”
The new season of the Ghana Premier League is expected to begin November 13, 2020.
