After unleashing a prodigy in the 55th edition of the University of Ghana cross country competition in 2018, the Commonwealth Hall has once again dominated the scene of the competition this year.
Out of the 15 athletes that finished the race, 8 were from the hall with others from Limann, Mensah Sarbah and Akuafo Hall.
Winner for last year’s event in the men’s race Radja Komla Lagble from Commonwealth hall was at it again as he won the race with a record time of 31 minutes 12 seconds an improvement on last year’s performance.
Radja was followed by a freshman from the Hilla Limann hall, Tony Asigbey, whose efforts came as a surprise after he ended the race with a record time of 32 minutes and 57 seconds.
Those who took the 4th, 5th and 6th positions were all from Commonwealth hall
Beatrice Owusua from the Mensah Sarbah hall also won in her race at a record time of 34 minutes and 09 seconds after winning it last year.
Cynthia Anafo of the Akuafo hall was the 1st runner up.
At the end of the race the Vandals had 30 points overall, Mensah Sarbah Hall also had followed with 106 points in the Men’s division.
In the Female division was the third in the ratings with a point of 78 regardless Beatrice Owusua making a change for the hall.
Volta hall dominated in that division with a point of 45 followed by Akuafo hall with 67 points.
