Policy Analyst, Dr. Mohammed Abbas is charging the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, to tell Ghanaians the reason for his resignation.
According to him, Mr. Ablakwa owes it to Ghanaians as an obligation and duty what led to his resignation.
“We can’t just say anything until we understand the real issues. He cannot leave us in the dark, when we are not well informed.
“Everything we say must have a basis that is why Mr. Ablakwa owes it as an obligation and duty to inform Ghanaians of what exactly led to his resignation,” he told UniversNews in an exclusive interview.
The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 tendered in his resignation letter to the Speaker of Parliament, indicating his decision to step down as a member of the Appointments Committee for some personal reasons.
For Dr. Abbas, the move by the lawmaker is a clear indication that there is an internal turmoil within the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He, therefore, wants the party’s leadership to immediately resolve all the grievances amicably.
“This is negative for the party, meaning there is a turmoil and confusion in the party. And the earlier they admit and acknowledge it and work on it to resolve issues, going forward I don’t think it will help the party be strong,” he said.
