The National Service Scheme (NSS) has deployed 86,478 prospective service persons to user agencies across the country for the 2020/2021 service year.
The deployed personnel have been asked to “log onto the Scheme’s website to check their placements and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions.”
Registration and validation processes are expected to begin at all centres from Thursday, September 3, 2020.
Here are steps on how to go about registration
1. Print your NSS appointment letter
- Visit the NSS Posting Portal
- Enter your credentials and login.
- Beneath your posting details, click on the button leading you to your posting letter
- Your Posting Letter Page will Popup, then click Show Appointment Letter below your details
- Finally, Download and Print your NSS Appointment Letter.
2. Go to your User Agency
Take your appointment letter to the User Agency. It is the organization that you have been posted to by NSS. Ensure that your letter has been signed by the head of the organization with the company’s official stamp.
3. Regional Registration Appointment
With your appointment letter now endorsed, head to the log onto your posting portal and click on Regional Registration Appointment. You’d have to schedule an appointment by selecting the date and time suitable for you.
4. Honour your appointment
Go the NSS office in the region where you been posted on the date and time you specified to be registered into their system. You are to honour your appointment with your endorsed at least your appointment letter, and a valid national ID.
5. Regional Acceptance Number (RAN)
After your registration, the NSS officers will give you a Regional Acceptance Number (RAN). Go back to the NSS website, print your appointment letter again (this time it will have your RAN). Simply print 3 copies and send one to the NSS District office, one to the place you were posted to and keep the last one.
